Cubs Orienteering Around The Mote!
18th May 2025

On 18 May, Cubs from around the district gathered for an exciting orienteering adventure at Mote Park, where they put their navigation skills to the test.
The Cubs embarked on a challenging 3.3km course, using maps and compasses to find their way around the park’s beautiful grounds. As they navigated through the trails, they learned valuable outdoor skills, such as teamwork, direction finding, and how to read a map—skills that will serve them well on future scouting adventures.
After completing the course, the Cubs enjoyed a well-earned picnic, relaxing with their friends. The fun didn’t stop there, as they headed to the playground to burn off some energy with games and laughter.
And, of course, Walter, the district Cubs’ mascot, couldn’t resist joining in on the fun! With his usual enthusiasm, he made sure to be part of every moment, adding a touch of excitement to the day’s activities.
It was a fantastic day of adventure, teamwork, and fun, leaving the Cubs with new skills, happy memories, and a stronger sense of camaraderie.
