District Youth Lead
Jonathan serves as the District Youth Lead for Maidstone West Scouts, a role dedicated to ensuring that young people aged 6 to 25 have a meaningful voice in shaping their Scouting experiences.
This position involves actively engaging with youth members to gather their ideas and feedback, integrating their perspectives into the planning and delivery of Scouting activities. By doing so, the District Youth Lead helps align the Scouting program with the interests and needs of its young members, fostering a more inclusive and responsive environment.
In addition to these responsibilities, Jonathan also serves as an ex-officio member of the District Trustee Board. This role involves contributing to the governance and strategic direction of the Maidstone West Scout District, ensuring that the organization's activities align with its mission and values.
Youth Shaped Team
The team is made up of Youth Members who want to roll up their sleeves and work on youth led projects in Maidstone West.
The team is led by the District Youth Lead, and they work in partnership with the District Team. The Youth Shape Team are empowered to commission projects and initiatives of their own.
