All applicants will be invited to attend a selection event at Hamlet Wood between 28th - 30th November 2025.

The age requirement for youth participants is 14 to 17 years old at the time of the event. This means they need to have been born between July 30, 2009 and July 30, 2013.

Maidstone West has 6 places for its members and we want everyone that is in the age range regardless of their background or length of time in scouting to put themselves forward to attend to represent Maidstone West.

We will send a permission form and kit list to all applicants that need to be completed and returned online. We will ask young people to bring along their own tents or request to borrow them from your groups- but if you are struggling with this please do let us know as we do have some tents that we can lend too - we don't expect you to buy a tent to camp!

The selection weekend will be be a fun weekend to meet scouts from across the district with an interest in going on an international adventure- there are plenty of other opportunities in addition to the World Scout Jamboree

Those too young will be able to apply for Denmark in 2031 and those too old can consider IST applications which launch in September and close early October. There are also loads of other opportunities and international events we can tell you all about.

Apply For Jamboree Participation Event

All applicants will be invited to attend a selection event at Hamlet Wood Scout Campsite between 28th - 30th November 2025.

After The Selection Event

Those that are offered a place will be invited to a meeting to discuss the fee arrangements to attend- finances should not be a barrier for attendance at the event and the past 4 World Scout Jamborees Maidstone West participants fundraising efforts along with support from the district and their groups have resulted in no personal contributions being required.

Those selected will join a unit of young people from across Kent and there will be regular events in the lead up to get to know the leaders and young people you will join on the experience.
