Programme Team Leader
The District Programme Team Leader for Maidstone West Scouts, a role focused on shaping and supporting the delivery of a high-quality, engaging programme for young people aged 4-14 across the District.
This position involves working closely with Section Leaders and Group Lead Volunteers to ensure that Scouting activities are varied, inclusive, and aligned with the aims and methods of The Scouts.
The Programme Team Leader provides guidance, resources, and support to help deliver safe, exciting, and skills-based experiences that enable young people to develop confidence, resilience, and leadership. By promoting best practice and encouraging collaboration between Groups, the role helps maintain consistency and excellence in programme delivery throughout the District.
District Programme Team
The Programme Team is made up of enthusiastic volunteers who are passionate about delivering high-quality programmes for young people across every section, from Squirrels through to Scouts.
Led by the Programme Team Leader, the team works closely with the wider District Team to support sections in providing engaging, adventurous, and youth-shaped experiences. They focus on programme development, sharing best practice, supporting leaders, and ensuring a consistent, inspiring offer across the District.
The District Programme Team is empowered to design, coordinate, and deliver programme initiatives that strengthen section delivery and enhance opportunities for all young people.
