Coxheath Cub - Day Out At Duxford!
26th September 2026

Coxheath Cubs from the Woodlands and Jungle Packs enjoyed an exciting visit to the IWM Duxford Air Museum.
During their visit, the Cubs had the opportunity to explore the different hangars, discovering a fascinating collection of aircraft from throughout the history of aviation. As they moved from hangar to hangar, they learned about the different types of aircraft, how they were used, and how aviation has developed over the years.
One of the highlights of the visit was being able to go inside some of the aircraft. The Cubs were able to see what it was like inside the cockpits and passenger areas, giving them a much better understanding of what life was like for the people who flew and worked on these amazing machines.
The visit was a fantastic opportunity for the Cubs to learn outside of the usual meeting environment, while also having lots of fun and seeing some truly impressive aircraft up close. There was plenty to explore, lots of questions asked, and many interesting things discovered along the way.
It was a brilliant day out for the Coxheath Cubs, and they all came away with some great memories!
