Maidstone West Cubs Trading Post 2026
27th September 2026

Cubs and their leaders from across the district gathered at Tovil Scout Campsite on the afternoon of Sunday 27th September for the District Cubs’ Trading Post.
The afternoon got off to a great start with everyone enjoying a picnic together before splitting into small teams to take on a huge selection of challenges. With 110 challenges available as a nod to the Cubs’ big anniversary year, there was certainly plenty to keep everyone busy!
The challenges included everything from seeing how far you could throw a wellie boot, tying a reef knot behind your back and completing a 110m hoop roll, to making a leader a drink, unwrapping a sweet using only a knife and fork, clay animal modelling, hook-a-duck and the ever-popular loo roll pull, to name but a few!
At the end of the afternoon, prizes were awarded to the team who had completed the most challenges.
Congratulations to “Cubs 2.0” from Tovil, who completed an amazing 48 challenges!
A huge thank you to Akela from Oakwood Cubs for putting all the challenges together and helping to make the event such a success.
A gigantic amount of fun was had by all, with plenty of laughter, teamwork and some very impressive Cub skills on display.
Well done, everyone!
