Maidstone West WSJ27 Selection Weekend

From 28th–30th November, Maidstone West’s WSJ27 Selection Weekend took place at Hamlet Wood Scout Campsite, bringing together an incredible group of Scouts, Explorers, leaders, and special guests for three days of energy, teamwork, and unforgettable Scouting spirit.

From the moment participants arrived, the atmosphere was electric. The positivity, determination, and sheer enthusiasm shown throughout the weekend were nothing short of inspiring. Young people challenged themselves, supported one another, and demonstrated exactly what Scouting is all about.

The standard was exceptionally high, so much so that the selection committee faced an incredibly tough decision when selecting. Every participant should feel immensely proud of what they achieved over the weekend.

A huge thank you also goes to the participants of the 25th World Scout Jamboree who joined us. Your stories, insights, and enthusiasm gave our young people a genuine taste of the adventure they could be part of if selected. Your presence truly helped inspire the next generation of Jamboree participants.
