New District Lead Volunteer appointed for Maidstone West

Daniel Everest has been appointed to lead Maidstone West Scouts as District Lead Volunteer from 12th September 2024.

Neil Gearing, County Lead Volunteer (Acting), said in his announcement, "I am pleased to inform you that Daniel Everest has agreed to take on the role of Maidstone West District Lead Volunteer from 12 September 2024."

"I would like to thank Mike for all his dedication to the role for the last five years. I am sure that Dan, with your support, will continue to develop and promote Scouting in Maidstone West District and the future will be exciting!"

Daniel's scouting journey started as an Explorer Scout in 2009. He was appointed as Assistant Explorer Leader in 2013 at his unit, Wanderers ESU, whilst also being an active member of Maidstone West Network. In 2015, he was appointed to the role of District Explorer Scout Commissioner.
