New District Youth Lead Appointed!

I am pleased to announce that Thomas Hood has stepped up to become the new District Youth Lead for Maidstone West Scouts.

Thomas is no stranger to the District Youth Shaped Team, having previously been an active member of the team before stepping up into the District Youth Lead role. His experience and understanding of the team will be a great asset as he takes on the responsibility of leading the District Youth Shaped Team and continuing to ensure that young people have a strong voice in shaping the future of Maidstone West Scouts.

Thomas takes on the role following Jonathan Atkins reaching the age of 25, meaning that he has had to step down from the position. Jonathan has held the role since 12th June 2023, and during his time as District Youth Lead he has made an incredible contribution to youth involvement across the District, including the formation of the team.

On behalf of Maidstone West Scouts, I would like to say a huge thank you to Jonathan for his commitment, enthusiasm and hard work over the past few years. He has done a fantastic job in the role and has helped to champion the voices and ideas of young people across our District. We are incredibly grateful for everything he has contributed.

Please join me in welcoming Thomas to the role and wishing him every success as he takes on this important position and leads the District Youth Shaped Team into its next chapter.
