Treeeemendous
27th January 2024
On Saturday 27th January 2024 we have another mammoth task of planting 950 trees and hedgerow plants! Come along and help. All you need is sturdy footwear, warm waterproof clothes, a spade/trowel and gardening gloves and you can be part of this second record-breaking effort at Lower Grange Farm.
It’s going to take place between 10.00am and 12.30pm. Hot drinks will be provided.
So if you can spare a couple of hours please come and work off some of those Christmas excesses. As well as making the activity centre look great, you will also be helping to reduce climate change as the trees absorb carbon dioxide, the air on the camping fields will be purified and we will create more habitats for the array of wildlife that is around.
So spread the word amongst your Scouting friends and members. Places are limited and you must book by contacting Rebecca Martin by the 20th January 2024 to indicating how many of your section/group are attending and the leader in charge details.
Children attending must be in a Scouting section and you will need a ratio of one adult to six children.
We will then respond with a risk assessment and guidance of what to do on the day should there be snow!
